21st century London

The riverside district on the Eastern edge of London has exploded into Manhattan-on-Thames in just 20 years - and it's still growing. The docks once took in ships from right around the globe and made London the biggest port in the world. But the docks closed, to be replaced by some of the most exciting architecture in Europe, though some wonderful reminders of the past survive if you know where to look. Now Docklands is home to the richest banks and smartest media organisations and has the restaurants, shops and bars to match. It's brash, it's bright, it's new London.
